OPERATIONopr.spa.contraccion

contracción

The fusion of either of two prepositions with the masculine singular definite article into a single written word, required wherever the two stand together.

Two prepositions and one article shape, and the fusion is obligatory rather than a shortening a writer may decline. The narrowness is the interesting part. A process that fused every preposition with every article would be a general rule of the writing system; a process that fuses exactly two pairs is a stored fact wearing the shape of a rule, and recording it as an operation with a coverage of two out of two says both things at once. One environment blocks it, and it is the one that shows the fusion to be about words rather than sounds: where the article belongs to a title or a proper name that carries it, the two are written apart.

An empty list, which is an assertion: this rests on nothing external, and somebody checked. It is not the same as nobody having looked.

What it does, and when it fires

operation.rule

The domain it works in, and the firing condition as a sentence. The checkable form of that condition is the selects group below.

One of the two contracting prepositions stands immediately before the masculine singular definite article.

How much it covers

operation.coverage

How many cases the operation actually derives, out of how many it claims, and how that was counted.

derives 2 of 2enumerated

None among the two prepositions. Every other preposition stands beside the article unchanged and the article's other three shapes never contract, so the operation is as small as the pair it names and no smaller.

every case was counted, and the count closes: nothing is left over

Everything joined to this object

One group per typed edge, in both directions. A1b guarantees no object node is an orphan, so this is the whole navigation: an object with no edges would have failed the build rather than reached this page.

What this object is a kind of

Walking this object's own `is-a` edges: what it is a kind of. Several branches from one object are several classification axes, not competing supertypes.

Fan-out per dimension

A4

One row per dimension, largest first. That is a display order, not a verdict: 03-schema.md declares no threshold above which fan-out is too much, so this reports the count and grades nothing.

declared arbitrariness (A7)

these objects override this one

    • reasonThe contraction operation fuses a preposition with the masculine singular definite article into one obligatory written word, the only place the language fuses a preposition with its complement. This shape stores the same phenomenon for a different complement, a pronoun rather than an article, so the general convention that a preposition and its complement are two words does not hold here either. The link is carried contested because it is traced through a case chain that is itself contested.
